New course codes (versions) are mandatory from May 2012 - all courses completed under the old versions prior to May 2012 are still valid - 12 months for CPR and Advanced Resuscitation and 3 years for Apply First Aid and Provide Basic Emergency Life support. |
| Aim |
|
The Apply Advance Resuscitation Techniques course will provide you with the advanced skills of providing oxygen resuscitation to an unconscious non-breathing casualty or provide oxygen therapy to a casualty who is having breathing difficulties.
The Apply Advance Resuscitation Techniques course will also give you the skills to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on a casualty who has suffered a cardiac arrest. Research has shown that if a defibrillator is used on a cardiac arrest casualty within one minute, then the casualty has a greater chance of making a full recovery. |

| Prerequisites |
|
Valid Apply First Aid Certificate (previously known as Senior First Aid), Provide Basic Emergency Life Support or Perform CPR certificate. |
| Certificate Validity |
|
The Nationally Recognised certificate for Apply Advance Resuscitation Techniques is valid for a period of 12 months. |
| Accreditation |
|
First Aid Action have undergone a strict accreditation process, therefore all of the courses offered are fully accredited and the certificates received are Nationally Recognised. |
| Classes |
First Aid Action will conduct this course either on your premises or an outside venue can be arranged.
Course duration is 4 hours. Participants will need to complete a workbook prior to the course date.
